Why Modern Hindus Have Misunderstood Hinduism
Most people in Indian subcontinent as well as their neighbours share similar cultural roots which are today considered as Hinduism and narrowed down to modern definition of religion by superimposing their own perception on it.
Today most so called Hindus misunderstand Hinduism, they actually perceive it the way it has been defined by sources that have roots lying somewhere else. Most of these Indians Today actually think that they're close to traditional Hindu lifestyle although the fact is that they're following a lifestyle which opposes Fundamental Principles of Sanatan Dharm.
This misconception can be noticed everywhere which can be listed by me later for you to judge whether its true or not.A Nation following an eternal faith which insures protecting each and every form of elements(पंचतत्व) which participated in natural lifecycle is today facing corruption, pollution, mental health problems, lifestyle disease, climate change etc. because its no more balanced, controlled by self-sacrifice.1.
2. HAWAN SAMAGRI Used in Homa Fire Rituals
Every Hindu performs rituals like Hawan or Homa Fire Ritual occassionally or on regular basis. These rituals require items/ingredients which were traditionally available at home or were natually procured locally #VocalforLocal
Today most of these items are available in Pooja Stores and can be ordered online too which claim to be 'All Natural & Pure' but to follow the real philosophy behind Hinduism for example, instead of using GauGrit or Desi Cow Ghee गौ-घृत we are today using cheap inferior quality products which cost low and may not be either natural or pure or naturally procured following our traditional method.
Even wood available in market is procured by forceful deforestation i.e. cutting branches without collecting those which fall down naturally or have dried up. Today this may not seem to be a blunder or a serious issue but those who understand Hinduism and its underlying beliefs will know.
3. Cook & Eat without Sitting Down
Today not only our hotel, motel, restaurants, catering service providers as well as residences have kitchen where cooking is only possible in standing position and our guests, family members, friends too eat in a standing position in parties or chairs.
Traditional Indian kitchen or cooks used to do all cooking while being seated in a comfortable position which was not only convenient but the food the cooked was also cooked in a relaxed mood.
In the era of #WomenEmpowerment we have developed a setup where a woman or man has to keep standing while they cook, back-ache is very common problem faced by modern women due to this unnatural lifestyle that they're forced to follow because this a trend of modernity.
We all know that eating position as per Ayurveda has a +ve or -ve affect on our body, health, mind and spirit yet today our social gathering, party, family function, canteens usually don't have enough sitting capacity or provision to enjoy your meal comfortably in a sitting position.
In Hinduism or Sanatan Tradition cooking & eating both are sacral rituals and aren't just a way to quench our thirst or satisfy our hunger.
